Established in May 2002 and dedicated to the Assessment and Training of all staff who wish to work in the Early Learning and Childcare sector. The Centre is committed to providing high quality assessment and training to candidates. Our training centre provides SVQs in Social Services (Children and Young People) and ongoing training courses to ensure our candidates are prepared to meet the challenges of an exciting role in the childcare and education sector.

What are SVQs?
Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) are recognised, work-related, competence based qualifications.They reflect the skills and knowledge needed by an Early Learning and Childcare practitioner to do their job effectively and show the candidate is competent in the area of work the qualification represents.

Qualifications are achieved through assessment and training. Assessment is achieved through on the job observations and the candidate producing evidence to prove they have the competence to meet the SVQ standards.
